Tapered and Bracketed feet provide a solid but light and airy stance to the entire piece.
Drawers are continuous grain selected from one board.
The Doors while seemingly simple are made from Shop-sawn Veneer, carefully selected and positioned for chatoyance, and grain. They are laminated on a super flat substrate, and held together by haunched mortise and tenon joints, which resist racking and twisting. All of this comes together to create a really rigid frame.
The doors are mounted with Brass Butt hinges.
The side of the case needed to feel lighter and open because it would be visible.
This profile adds a nice shape and subtle reminder to the curves on the case sides. Shaped entirely by hand.

Ebony pulls, provide an incredibly rich tactile experience. The pulls are glued and wedges from behind cementing them from ever being pulled off the drawer front.
Magnets hold the doors closed and provide a tactile sensation thats hard to beat.
